It is very important to use the lens care system that your eye care professional recommends for your Paragon CRT® Contact Lenses.

Gas permeable (GP) lenses resist deposits and require less care than soft contact lenses. They do, however, still demand the proper lens care that is essential to successful contact lens wear. It is important that you understand and carefully follow your eye care professional’s directions before you take your lenses home.

Lens care systems for Paragon CRT® Contact Lenses, or any gas permeable (GP) lenses, are similar to those for soft lenses, consisting of either:

  • The combined use of separate cleaning and disinfecting/storage solutions; or
  • A single multi-purpose solution for cleaning, disinfecting and storage.

Optometrists and ophthalmologists recommend against rinsing your GP lenses with tap water, because microorganisms in tap water can cause eye infections, including Acanthamoeba Keratitis. Rinsing gas permeable contacts should be done only with multi-purpose solution or sterile saline. Also, never moisten your GP lenses with saliva.
