The Paragon CRT® Contact Lens Diagnostic Dispensing System
An optimum choice for prescribing Paragon CRT® Contact Lenses is the Paragon CRT® Contact Lens Diagnostic Dispensing System. The Diagnostic Dispensing System (DDS) provides certified eye care professionals with the ability to fit diagnostically and dispense directly from the set and make in-office lens exchanges, if needed. Most practitioners realize the overwhelming benefit of dispensing the final lens immediately to the patient.
In order to provide the best possible experience with Paragon CRT® Contact Lenses, for the eye care professional and patient, Paragon Vision Sciences is introducing an enhanced lens numbering system for Paragon CRT® Contact Lenses, which includes an update to the Diagnostic Dispensing System, the lens vial cap and the Lens Selector Slide Rule. Additionally, the Diagnostic Dispensing System Lenses will be manufactured in Paragon HDS®100, green tint to promote same day, and permanent dispensing. Features of the enhanced system include:
The Enhanced Lens Numbering System
The Paragon CRT® Contact Lens product features an enhanced lens numbering system, which makes locating the lens vial in the Diagnostic Dispensing System (DDS) quick and simple.
Placing a Paragon CRT® Contact Lens order is quick and simple, too. By ordering with the lens number assigned to the lens vial, instead of the series of lens parameters, ordering errors and time are reduced.
Lens Selector Slide Ruler
After the Flat K and manifest refraction sphere is selected, the Slide Ruler shows the assigned lens number adjacent to the lens parameter.
Lens Vial and Diagnostic Dispensing System
Quickly locate the Paragon CRT® Contact Lens vial in the DDS by looking at the vial cap or the overlay.
The vial cap features the assigned lens number, in a square box, at the bottom of the round label. When the vial is removed from the DDS, the assigned lens number is visible on the bottom overlay.
In addition to these enhancements, a Paragon CRT® Contact Lens Partnership Agreement will be required for newly certified eye care professionals who choose to purchase the Paragon CRT® Contact Lens Diagnostic Dispensing System (100 or 136-lens). The Partnership Agreement requires the certified eye care professional to promote Paragon CRT® Contact Lenses in the practice by using the complimentary, customized marketing items to expose their patients to this option for myopia management. Through the agreement, certified eye care professional commits to maintain, at least an 85% inventory level in the DDS, allowing for quick lens fulfillment to the patient. Also, there will be an audit of the DDS by a Paragon Sales Representative or CRT® Laboratory Distributor.
Current certified eye care professionals who wish to update their DDS may receive one complimentary Lens Selector Slide Ruler and DDS under/overlay, upon request.

The Benefits Of The Paragon CRT® Contact Lens Diagnostic Dispensing Systems
Product Benefit #1: Lens Material
The GP material in the CRT® Diagnostic Dispensing System is Paragon HDS®100 (101 Dk – ISO/ANSI Method). Paragon Vision Sciences has always concluded that the higher Dk material (Paragon HDS®100) was the best material for long term wear. For relatively short-term diagnostic purposes, however, Paragon HDS® offers sufficient Dk and improved durability.
Product Benefit #2: Additional Laser Mark
Paragon CRT® Contact Lenses are the only orthokeratology lens with a laser mark of the lens parameters (BC, RZD, LZA.) Once the final parameters are determined with the diagnostic lenses, the patient will be ensured to receive fresh, new lenses manufactured in Paragon HDS®100. With the rapid expansion in Paragon CRT® Contact Lens fitting, Paragon Vision Sciences believes this will be a great benefit for patients and practitioners alike.
